DB 700 PRO

The DB 700 PRO industrial multirip saw is intended for longitudinal cutting materials up to a width of 700 mm. It is an ideal supplementary machine for a round log processing line where it significantly speeds up and makes the entire material cutting process more efficient. After the sawmill, it further splits boards and thicker prisms lengthwise up to a maximum height of 105 mm. Four driven steel rollers from below, along with two pressure and driven rollers from above, are used for precise guiding the lumber throughout the cutting process. This combination is also ideal for processing dry lumber that is often twisted and the contact area between the rollers and the lumber is reduced.

Depending on the material to be cut, the feed speed of the lumber can be adjusted using a frequency converter in the range of 6-30 m/min.

Thanks to its design, the machine allows a wide range of modifications and possibilities of using almost any number of discs. Changing positionally fixed discs is very easy and fast. In the basic version, the machine is equipped with a digital control of the precise positioning of the end wheel and, thanks to the memory containing 5 values, significantly speeds up the positioning of the tool. When a special carrier is used, up to two discs can be positioned at the same time, which reduces waste, especially at converging shapes of lumber. For easy loading lumber into the machine, the machine is equipped with two laser sights. The future cutting position is shown by a line copying the path of the outside cutting discs. An input and output track 2 meters long is included in the delivery, as well as a side ruler for single-sided boards.

The base of the machine includes a 15 kW main motor, which is suitable for ripping soft lumber (4 discs) up to a cutting height of 55 mm at a speed of approx. 15 m/min. Alternatively, we offer main motors up to 22 kW. The 22 kW main motor is powerful enough, e.g. for 4 cutting discs splitting soft lumber up to 80 mm and hard timber up to 60 mm at a speed of approx. 15 m/min. By request of the customer, we offer the following modifications:

• Depending on the number of cutting discs, the maximum cutting height and the type of material to be cut, it is necessary to select the size of the main motor in the range of 11–22 kW.
• Extension of the driven traction rollers to 750 mm
• Enlargement of the material opening to 850 mm
• Possibility to use cutting discs with a diameter of 400 mm (cross section 130 mm)
